Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to drive our chemical distribution business in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the chemical industry, excellent sales skills, and a proven track record of business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to expand Arkem Chemicals‘ presence in the DACH region.
- Identify and build relationships with (key) customers, distributors, and partners.
- Promote and sell our portfolio of raw materials across multiple industries, including coatings, flexible packaging, inks, construction, lubricants, I&I cleaning, personal and home care.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, product managers, finance) to provide excellent customer service.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring revenue and profitability growth.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the chemical distribution industry.
- Strong knowledge of raw materials used in various industries.
- Fluency in German and English (French or any other relevant language is a plus).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel within the DACH region.
